Dot Distribution Map

A Dot Distribution map is a map that shows the distribution of population or other information by putting dots on a certain area.  Each of these dots will represent a certain number or quantity. This particular map is showing the population distribution in the United States in 2000.  The more dots that are represented in each region, the viewers are able to tell where the majority of the U.S. population is located.
