Hypsometric Map

A Hypsometric map involves color sequencing which will fill the space between contours. Typically, hypsometric maps vary from yellow, green, and brown coloring.  Often times, hypsometric maps are representing the elevation of the certain terrain with the different colors.  This particular map is showing the different levels of elevation through the green and yellow shading.  You can see that the elevation is different along the shore than it is farther inland.
